God Loves You.
Today seems like a good day to remember that.
The Bible is stacked with reminders and references to God’s unfailing, persistent and consistent love for us. You can open up to almost any of the psalms, even the psalms of lament, and find some kind of reference to God’s Love. Even when the psalmist cries, “My God, why have you forsaken me?” there is the assumptions that it is unusual for that to happen in the face of God’s love for us. I can talk about this until I am blue in the face. It’s just so amazing that the all powerful, all awesome Creator of Heaven and Earth also created me, and loves me as much as anyone or anything else.
But lets face it, God can say it way better than I ever can.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?…No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. ~Romans 8:35, 37-39
