Time marches on
day after day
always
the same.
Tick tock tick tock
Echoes Father’s clock
as the seconds
turn into third and fourth and fifth
helpings of this dish
called time
and marches on.
Time marches on
and the colors shift and sway
from day to day
towards and away
life and death
from green to black
and back
and forth.
the more things change
the more they stay the same.
And time marches on. Read more…
So I’ve been camping out on Matthew 13:45-46 lately. It’s a really short passage that has been a freaking lighthouse beacon for me. I mean I opened by bible at random this morning to read something and that’s the page I opened up to. I didn’t really want to read it again so I picked up a different bible, opened to a random page and VOILA – the same passage.
Now my first thoughts on the matter were recorded on @pacnwdadof6 ‘s blog HERE. Basically I say that the kingdom is worth much more than my limited hopes and dreams. I mean I’m faced with a God who able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or think and all I can dream and hope for is some career stuff? That’s pretty lame when you think about the God of the universe saying “what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Read more…

So I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot more time at my computer than i do just about anywhere else. If that’s you too, then I want to share with you some wide screen wallpapers I made around the idea of writing scripture in places where you can see it and let it absorb into your spirit.
Option 1 is to go HERE. This is my Deviantart profile page with all my crazy and sometimes amateurish artwork.
Option 2 is to wait a couple of days for me to get my act together and put them somewhere on this blog.
Option 3 is to realize that I only have three wallpapers up right now and none of them include that favorite bible verse of yours that you simply have not found a good image for and then leave a comment asking me to make one for you. And hopefully I will. but no promises on that one.
Love and blessings folks!

Jesus died and everyone was feeling depressed. Everyone mourned the loss of their mentor, their teacher, and their friend and brother. This was the man who had looked around while they sat together and said “Here is my mother and brother and sister.” And now he was gone, brutally tortured and murdered by the people from whom he was supposed to save them and whom he had even forgiven.
Jesus rose and everyone celebrated. Mary wept in the garden and clung to him in relief. The Disciples were torn between astonishment and sheer joy. They were ready for the revolution, they were ready to continue on and couldn’t wait to see what would happen after this ultimate miracle. They had seen Jesus call the dead back to life before but this was a whole other level. Jesus called himself back to life! I mean talk about some good PR “Miracle worker miraculously lives!”
And then Jesus drops a bombshell on them all. “Go and make disciples of all the nations.” Read more…
Whenever someone dies, well meaning Christians seem to come out of the woodwork to try and comfort those who are left behind. This is a good thing. When someone is hurt and broken and weary in their soul I would hope that Christians would show up to comfort the afflicted.
Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.
Today, I remember the day that Jesus died. I wasn’t there but I wish I had been. I wish I could have been there to comfort Him in his pain and suffering even if there wasn’t anything I could actually have done. I wish I had been there to thank Him for everything He had done until that point. Would it have made a difference at all? No not in the least. Can I thank Him for what He’s done in my present circumstance? Of course I can. Read more…
